This is a survey for professional health care provides about their experience with Very Early Medical Abortion.
The definition and the management of Very Early Medical Abortion (VEMA) are very different from country to country. In many settings, medical abortion procedure is delayed by the health care provider or by local regulations until a specific pregnancy duration or ultrasound finding. This increases waiting time for the woman and may also increase the rate of side effects and the risk for complications.
The objective here is to carry out a European survey in collaboration with FIAPAC to get further information on the management of very early medical abortion in Europe.
A recent study by Bizjak et al. BJOG 2017, demonstrated efficacy and safety and underlined the advantages of VEMA.
This FIAPAC initiative was supported by Exelgyn.
